Regulations and Protocols

Here you can find the regulations and protocols that apply to the PSP “MSc in Industrial Pharmacy”:

Operating Regulations of the Master's

Research Ethics Regulation

By submitting the master’s thesis, the master’s student is obliged to state whether he used data and opinions of other authors.

Plagiarism is considered a serious academic misconduct. Plagiarism is the copying of someone else’s work, as well as the use of another’s work – published or not – without proper citation. The quotation of any documentary material, even from the candidate’s own studies, without a relevant  citation, may incur penalties up to termination of studies.

Any misconduct or violation of academic ethics is referred to the Steering Committee of the PSP.

An academic advisor is assigned to each graduate student at the beginning of the 1st semester. The Coordinating Committee assigns Academic Advisor duties only to faculty members participating in the Master’s Program ‘Industrial Pharmacy’. The Academic Advisor is in contact with the Master’s Director and the five-member coordinating committee to resolve any problems that arise.

The duties of the Academic Advisor include, among others:

  • Informing students about the objectives of the Master’s Study Program, the professional skills and qualifications of the graduates of the program.
  • Investigating students’ needs and interests, looking for ways to develop their skills.
  • The auxiliary communication assistance of the students with the university authorities, institutions and administrative services.
  • The information about the provided services of the institution.
  • The information about the content of the courses, the use of the infrastructure of the PSP laboratories, the methods of evaluating the performance of the courses and everything related to the facilitation and completion of studies.
  • Counseling for choosing a diploma topic.
  • The investigation of professional opportunities (public and private sector, freelance,
    work abroad).
  • Information about the services offered by the University (Student Care, Student
    Advocate, Liaison Office, Erasmus, etc.)

In any case, the role of Academic Advisors remains consultative and cannot be effective without the cooperation of the student. Students in turn must inform the Academic Advisor of their decisions. The final responsibility for their choices in matters of study rests with the students themselves.

The Academic Advisor makes sure to have meetings, in person or remotely, at regular intervals with the students he/she has undertaken (at least once per semester) and to record a complaint report. In the report, he can point out malfunctions or deficiencies that create problems for students and suggest measures to deal with them.

For the essential support of students in terms of their studies, the cooperation of the Academic Advisors of each master’s degree with the Liaison Office and the Student Advocate is also necessary.

PROCEDURE FOR FILING COMPLAINTS

In case a student wants to express his difficulty or his objection on any subject, he is given the possibility of making a special request to the five-member committee of the master’s degree, which in turn, decides and responds to the student’s request. According to the procedure, the request is submitted to the Postgraduate Secretariat by the student. The problem is recorded concisely, clearly and objectively. The Secretariat forwards the request to the Director, who in turn forwards it to the five-member committee. The committee forwards the request to the competent administrative bodies and informs the applicant of the actions taken and the general handling of the case, as well as of the decisions of the respective competent administrative body.
